holiday

Am back on the knitting track. working on a felted bowler for a trade. and one more scarf for commission. I am just dying to start a sweater for myself. The holiday has been good for me for sales though. It is amazing how many people call to see if I have any scarves or jewelry for sale. Excellent for the bank account.

We had a nice trip to Santa Fe. the pug was so dominant over his standard poodle cousin, Pablo, so that was a bit insane. The boy played in his first snow ever and absolutely loved it...what a card...And of course the family, well, the husbands family was there too. We'll go back in another year for Thanksgiving.

Lookie what I got...my Pinku Flower Swap partner, Priscilla, sent these goodies to me over Christmas...yippie! The gummies and chocolate were yummy and the pin is so cute...THANK YOU PRISCILLA! And, mine is coming very soon...gotta get on the ball!

In the Real World

I've had quite some time to rest since The Girlie Show. What an amazing success that was. Check out the party pics http://www.thegirlieshow.net. I am really proud of myself...not being ego-maniac or anything...just honest. From having a concept in my head to getting friends to join forces with me to having the biggest art show/party in the City...especially for the first year. There were over 600 people there. Just amazing.

So, things will be getting ready for next year coming in January. We are starting a little early this time...getting our ducks in a row...or should I say "Girlies" in a row. Hee Hee.

Other news...baby boy will be born next week. The litter is due and we can get him in February. Can't wait. Ape is in obedience class and doing okay. He minds when he wants to but is such a sweetie pie. We got him a new bed so he can hang out with us in the living room and he loves it...napping all the time. Precious.

Halloween get-up...I never ever dress up for Halloween...a little too time consuming and fussy for me, but I found all these awesome wigs and had to put them to use. My husband probably needed my fro more than I did, but it worked perfect as a White-y Foxy Brown. The boy was a Mexican Wrestler/Scooter Mechanic. Too funny.

This is a crack up...of course my dad's hair is pretty much like this and really no need for the Halloween wig, but how funny and the Ebenezer Scrooge face...priceless!

NO WAY

I can't believe it...I can put photos up on my blog...yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! No way. Okay, it took awhile to set up the dang hello/picasa program that is free on blogspot.com but it is up and away now.

So, now everyone will be interested in what I have to say...when they can see too.

It's a comin'

I am so nervous right now about this crazy show coming up. I can't wait til this is all over and my husband and I can just hang out and relax and not have a damn thang going on in our lives...just focus on us and learn how to ride my new scooter and take the driver's course and train our dog. We have got to put priority on our lives and not the things and events in it. No more art shows...no more volunteering...no more giving. okay, that does sound a little selfish, but we have given up ourselves for so long and are so tired that we haven't been taking care of ourselves. Now it is time. I want to work for my husband and at home and start thinkin' of a family. I don't want the stress of having to be at work for someone else...I'm ready for a change...I think that happens every two years or so, but that's how it is. I'm still trying to find myself and where I belong in my own life. It's a comin'. Yeah!

The Girlie Show

My life is pretty much up and running full speed right now. I totally need to get linked up where I can add photos to my blog....gee that would be a great idea, now that we finally own a digital camera.

The Girlie Show LLC is happening, scarily...yikes, it's frightening that an idea that I had is coming to life and happening in a month. Wow and with such local support. I'm scared to death.

I have my little Pootie boy now. Ape, my pug baby is 4 months old and a crazy little fellow. We are actually thinking of getting a second one. Oh my goodness what are we thinking. We shall see.

It's May?

Oh my goodness...I can't believe I haven't written anything since May...that's Crazy...I'm Brian Fellows. Tee Hee. Whatever. I haven't knitted in a while either. I think I'm punishing myself for not having my act together, so I won't start anything new until I finish more important things like fixing up the house and washing the dishes etc. I have to get the house ready for the new puppers.

We decided to get a puggie. I can't wait. One more month almost exactly until we get him. So, we are either naming him Felix or Ape. I will have to be around him more often to tell. I have several things I need to make before hand too as well as get the house puppy ready. Yeah!

We have been running around way too much. I am wiped out hot and tired. I have two more hours at work and have nothing I want to do but leave and go lay down. I'll get there. I just need to get busy plus I need to drink more water. I need to feel good about myself and don't want to do anything because I don't want to be around super skinny friends...feels gross. I will work on it though for sure. Here I go.

It's February Already

I haven't had a lot of time to knit lately...just made three scarves in a hurry for some orders and have many more projects ahead. My life has just been way too swamped to just veg and knit all night. That's what I really love.

I GUESS I SHOULD WRITE SOMETHING

It's been way too long since I've written. I have been writing in my journal though. So, I haven't been that bad. Web-site is not up yet and doesn't even exist for that matter. Depending on other people is really hard for me to do when I am prepared and organized. I expect other people to be on top of things too. Very frustrating. Otherwise, my life is very good right now. I have the best husband in the world, we are working on the dining room - mother-in-law is in town to help take down wallpaper, yeah! He just had a successful show...I am in a group show in a couple of weeks. We are very busy and will get to take a get away to a friends cabin this weekend. Only bad thing is my uncle just had open-heart surgery, so that's a struggle for the family. I have very high hopes for the entire situation...you have to think positive no matter what happens in your life. Things will work out for the best.
